“La Fosa” (“The Mass Grave”) is my first opera project.
The work is planned for three singers, pierrot ensemble, tape, and lights. The libretto is my own personal adaptation of the play “Morts sans sépulture” by Jean-Paul Sartre. Through this play I portray the hypothetical last hours of a group of students killed at the Ayotzinapa massacre. This piece is inspired by and dedicated to the memory of the 43 students of Ayotzinapa.
It will be performed by the end of 2019.
This piece is funded by the PECDA-CONARTE Music Composition Bursary 2018.
Here you can see some materials of the opera.
